High Poly Chair

Here is a high polygon model of an office chair for a scene I'm working on this quarter. I have a class that focuses on digital sculpting for environments and I'm enjoying it which is what this is for. It may be something I want to start focusing on in preparation for developing a focused portfolio. The sculpt was done in Zbrush, but I couldn't figure out how to add the small cushion pins around the arm and base in Zbrush so I brought it into 3DS Max and added them using mesh paint. Anyway a lot of people seem to like it so far. The main pins in the seat back and cushion are sculpted in.

Boss's Chair (High Poly)

Another thing I learned while looking at references for this type of chair is the push pin fabric design is called tufted. Which makes this a vinyl wing-back tufted chair. It took me forever to figure that out to search for reference so if anyone was in the dark like I was, well now you know.

This quarter I have an architecture class that requires me to be a bit creative with my quarter long project. I decided to create a short video timeline of architecture over the years that we are covering. This is all done in UDK and here are images of the progress thus far.

Here is a montage of things I have been working on for school projects since I last updated the blog.

The clock and the jeep are just texture work, the model was given to us in class for texturing homework.
This is the final result of the tank I showed months ago. I'm surprised it never made it in here until now.

Here's some renders of a low poly game model I turned in for my final in Game Modeling quarter 4.
